  The Book Stop

  Hours: 10am-1pm, Tuesday - Saturday

Rockland's "best source for previously read bargain books" is in
the lower level of the Library.  Come in to see the wonderful
selection--we have all genres, from mysteries to non-fiction and
children's books.  More rare and unusual books are being
  added to our collection.

Each month a special genre is featured. The “Flavor of the
Month” could be non-fiction (maritime, poetry or humor for
example), or a genre of fiction (mystery, thriller, etc.). As with
every Friends endeavor, proceeds from the Book Stop support
new books for the library’s collection and library programming.

Browsers can examine books in excellent condition in topics from art to zoology. Other popular categories include music, sports, history, humor, current events, travel, film, drama and dance, gardening and crafts. Special sections house Maine books and those dealing with maritime interests. The Book Stop also offers videos, DVD’s, CD’s and audio books.  If you are interested in helping out at the Book Stop for a few hours a month, we would love to hear from you!  Please contact Jan Smith at 372-8465.
