Homework Help

When you need to know more

Google is great, but it doesn't quite get everything. This resource offers professionally published (edited & fact-checked) articles not visible to search engines.  EbscoHOST Masterfile Premiere is one of the Marvel databases available from school and public libraries.  Library card required for remote access.

For when you need to know even MORE

Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine or answer engine. This site is great for math and science questions. Really if you need help with a math problem try this site.

Shmoop – There it is…. Okay, I know it was cheesy but I had to do that. Anyway, Shmoop is a one stop site for homework help. It has sections for everything from US History to Algebra II. It even can help you prep for the SAT, ACT and AP Exams.

 Music

Okay, I know this will be a hard sell but NPR isn't just talking heads. They also really know their music. The "R" is for radio after all. Check out NPR's music page, you are sure to find something you like.

KCRW could be the coolest radio station ever. It's the community radio station out of Santa Monica Callege, California. WARNING - listening to KCRW will cause you to know about music months before it hits the airwaves in the Northeast. Inducing boredom with local radio stations and hooking on you KCRW for life. Yeah it is that good.
